Just when you think your personal cookbook library is complete, a new one comes along with recipes and tips that you can’t believe you haven’t read before. That’s the case with Food52 Genius Recipes: 100 Recipes That Will Change the Way You Cook. It’s a collection of recipes from celebrity chefs and other foodies, curated by the super-popular website Food52.
Some of the recipes are unusual (Whole Roasted Cauliflower with Whipped Goat Cheese is one) but most of them are for classic dishes, given a genius twist that sets them apart. A few examples of what you’ll find: Poached Scrambled Eggs, Grilled Pork Burgers (contributed by beloved LA chef Suzanne Goin), Rao’s Meatballs (which contain beef, veal and pork) and tricks for making the most delicious hummus and guacamole. There are also scrumptious dessert recipes, including an easier way to make chocolate mousse (you melt the chocolate in water, then cool it over an ice bath while whisking).
Most of the recipes are available for free on the Food52 website, but the book features beautiful photographs and would make a genius gift for your favorite foodie.
