Shoes, shoes, shoes. The thing we love to shop til we drop. Keep your shoes in their best condition is essential to have a functioning foot wardrobe, however, we all know how difficult it is to store them properly. Let’s address some of your big concerns and get you walking on an organized path.
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again… when starting any organization project it’s essential to get rid of unnecessary items first! Go through your shoes. Toss the ones that are worn out and donate the good ones you just don’t wear. Take them out the door. Do not let them linger, do not pass go, do not collect $200. 😉
Now, on to the good stuff.
This is my favorite way to store shoes. If you have the space, I highly recommend it. Keep the boxes to store each pair in and take a photo to put on the outside of the box. It will prevent those lesser worn shoes from getting dusty and keep your space looking extra tidy.
If you don’t have this kind of space (most don’t), you’ll want to get a nice shoe rack. Shoes make you feel good so you don’t want to put them on just anything. Try to find a rack that is pleasing to your eye and makes you want to go through your favorite accessories.
Lastly, when putting away on a rack or at the bottom of your closet, you want to save space. Alternate your shoes to do just that.
