This year marks the 90th Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in the Big Apple. I love to have the parade on every Thanksgiving while I’m preparing my home for guests. Every year more than 50 million people tune in to see the floats passing through the streets of Manhattan. Here’s a slideshow of some of my favorites floats from the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade:

In 1927, Felix the Cat became the first giant balloon featured at the Macy’s Day Parade.

Mickey Mouse in 1934 and 2009
