NYC with The Color Purple

Last week I had the pleasure of attending the preview opening of The Color Purple, the musical I’m currently producing, at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre. I love Broadway. Have I mentioned that? I simply love it. The songs, the dancing, the colors, the production of it all – it’s truly life giving.

The Color Purple kicked off with a bang! The first night of previews was fabulous. The theatre was completely sold out and a buzz filled the air. The audience was waiting with baited breath for the show to start and once it did, we were all captivated from beginning to end. There were mid-show standing ovations, not to mention the standing o at the end, followed by a cast and crew champagne toast.
